Programmes
Beyond consulting, NEXEC runs a set of flagship national programmes — delivery vehicles, convening platforms and leadership pipelines that carry the organisation’s mandate at scale.
Eight flagship programmes
Each programme has a defined outcome, a governance structure and a published measurement framework. Programmes are open to partnership and, in most cases, to sponsorship.
NEXEC National Economic Summit
The organisation’s principal national platform, bringing government, business, labour and youth institutions into a single structured agenda on economic inclusion and delivery.
EnquireYouth Economic Participation Programme
A structured pipeline placing young professionals into real advisory, analytical and implementation roles inside public institutions and corporates.
EnquireMunicipal Delivery Lab
An intensive engagement model working with municipal executive teams on a defined delivery problem over a fixed twelve-week cycle.
EnquirePolicy Dialogue Series
Closed-door, Chatham House convenings between policymakers, practitioners and sector leaders on contested policy questions.
EnquireInvestment & Localisation Forum
Structured matchmaking between investors, public infrastructure pipelines and locally-owned supply capability.
EnquireSector Specialist Secondment
Places qualified specialists — economists, lawyers, engineers, quantity surveyors — into public institutions for defined technical assignments under sub-council supervision.
EnquireInnovation Challenge
A national challenge inviting solutions to a defined public-sector delivery problem, with implementation support for winners.
EnquireExecutive Roundtable Programme
Small-format sessions convening directors-general, executive mayors, CEOs and council chairs around a single strategic question.
EnquireThe Municipal Delivery Lab
Twelve weeks. One municipal executive team. One clearly defined delivery problem. No parallel structures, no substitution of capability, no report at the end that nobody reads.
The Lab was built after repeated observation of the same failure mode: municipalities commissioning strategy work they had no capability to implement, then commissioning more strategy work to explain why implementation failed.
The Lab inverts it. A problem is selected that the institution already has the mandate and the budget to solve. NEXEC works alongside the responsible officials for a fixed twelve-week cycle, building the systems and habits inside the institution as the problem is worked.
Problem definition
The executive team selects and precisely defines one problem. Most of the value is generated here.
Constraint mapping
The real constraints are surfaced — budgetary, legal, technical, political and organisational.
Intervention and iteration
Interventions are executed by institutional staff, reviewed weekly and adjusted.
Systemisation
What worked is converted into standing procedure, delegated authority and a measurement routine.
Independent review
A follow-up review establishes whether the change held after we left. Results are published.
Programme partnership and sponsorship
Most programmes carry defined partnership tiers. Sponsorship is structured around substantive association with the work rather than logo placement.
Principal Partner
Named association with a flagship programme, seat on the programme steering committee, platform at all associated convenings and co-branded publication rights.
Programme Partner
Association with a defined programme stream or cohort, participation in programme governance and speaking platform at the associated convening.
Supporting Partner
Support for a specific component — a research output, a fellowship cohort, a regional rollout — with defined recognition.
