Governance

How advisory independence is protected.

Advisory firms fail their clients when commercial incentives quietly override technical honesty. NEXEC’s structure is designed to make that harder.

The group executive sets strategy and holds commercial accountability. Technical judgements on a mandate sit with the responsible Division Head and the reviewing specialists, not with commercial leadership.
Every substantive deliverable is reviewed by qualified specialists in the relevant division before it reaches a client. Reviewers are mandated to challenge weak evidence, overstated findings and unsupported recommendations.
Division specialists remain bound by the professional bodies that regulate their disciplines — engineering, quantity surveying, law, medicine, accounting. Those obligations sit above any client instruction.
Because NEXEC advises both public institutions and private parties that transact with them, a standing conflicts register governs which mandates can be taken concurrently. Declined engagements are recorded.
Group subsidiaries operate commercially in their own right. Where a subsidiary has a commercial interest in a matter NEXEC is advising on, that interest is disclosed to the client in writing before the mandate proceeds.
