The National Executive Economic Collective (NEXEC) is a bold ecosystem of purpose-driven subsidiaries, each tackling a strategic sector of South Africa’s economic landscape. These entities serve as NEXEC’s execution arms, translating vision into impact and mobilising youth into tangible participation in key industries. Every subsidiary is founded on the principle that economic inclusion must be actioned, not just theorised.
Each subsidiary is majority-owned by NEXEC and operates with both autonomy and alignment — driving results while staying rooted in NEXEC’s broader mission of empowering young South Africans through scalable, sector-led solutions.
Monochrome Trading
Monochrome is the operational wing of NEXEC’s National Infrastructure Development Council (NIDC). It exists to directly confront youth unemployment by building a pipeline of skilled, certified tradespeople across South Africa. From bricklaying to plumbing, painting to electrical work — Monochrome trains, certifies, and deploys young workers into infrastructure projects and service opportunities. It acts as both a workforce development initiative and a project delivery firm.Monochrome aims to become South Africa’s most trusted youth-centred infrastructure labour provider, while reshaping the national conversation around artisan skills.

NEXEC Advisory
NEXEC Advisory is the intellectual and consulting engine of the Collective. It operates as a full-spectrum economic advisory firm, offering high-quality policy research, corporate strategy development, economic modelling, and youth-focused market intelligence. Staffed by economists, analysts, and policy practitioners, it serves both public and private sector clients while providing thought leadership on youth-centred economic reform.

South African Energy Company
(SONECO) PTY. LTD
Soneco is the energy-focused arm of NEXEC, operating across two specialised verticals — petroleum (Soneco Petroleum) and renewables (Soneco Energy). It leverages its petroleum wholesale license and its innovation-driven solar offerings to provide integrated energy solutions. Soneco exists to empower young professionals, engineers, and entrepreneurs within South Africa’s energy sector — a space often closed off to emerging players.
