About NEXEC
The National Executive Economic Collective is a youth-led institution formed in response to the widening gap between policy intention and economic reality for young people in South Africa. While youth are frequently referenced in national plans, budgets, and speeches, they are seldom integrated into the structures that design, govern, and deliver economic programmes.
NEXEC exists to close that gap.
The organisation brings together young professionals, sector specialists, policy thinkers, and practitioners to engage institutions with substance rather than symbolism. It is structured to operate across sectors, enabling it to provide informed, practical input into some of the country’s most complex economic challenges.
The energy of the youth is the driving force behind progress
Our Mission
South Africa’s youth crisis is not only a crisis of jobs; it is a crisis of institutional design. Too many initiatives fail because they are disconnected from lived realities, lack execution capacity, or engage youth only after decisions have already been made.
NEXEC was created to intervene earlier — at the level of strategy, design, and implementation — ensuring that youth inclusion is built into economic programmes from the outset rather than retrofitted later.

Our Vision
Our vision is a South Africa where young people are at the forefront of driving economic growth and inclusivity, actively shaping a prosperous future for themselves and the nation. We envision a society where every young person has the opportunity to contribute to and benefit from a vibrant, equitable economy.

How NEXEC Operates
NEXEC operates through a three-part model.
First, it functions as a national platform that convenes dialogue, shapes discourse, and builds legitimacy for youth participation in economic decision-making.
Second, it operates as an advisory partner to institutions, providing structured strategic input, youth integration frameworks, and policy-to-execution translation.
Third, it supports execution through aligned subsidiaries and delivery partners, ensuring that advisory work results in tangible economic activity.
From Policy to Delivery
Many institutions struggle not with intent, but with implementation. NEXEC specialises in bridging this gap by translating policy objectives into executable programmes, pilots, and delivery models that account for institutional realities and youth dynamics.
